Medium: (artist's book) Digital prints
and color copied collages,26 double-sided pages with translucent overlapping
text. Pages are made as translucent origami-fold envelopes which slip
onto the ribs of the folded spine. Non-adhesive binding, hard cover, bookcloth,
satin closure. Size: 5" x 6 1/4" x 3 3/4" closed, opens into a circle.
Each page is 6" x 4 1/4"
Pages are generated from portions of the material I sent to collaborator Michelle Miller Allen for our project, Nest. The content refers specifically to my transtition "on the road" between my former life in New Mexico and as-yet-unknown new life in Baltimore. Writing began as journal entries, but was highly edited to read as small short stories/vignettes.
